Hitachi Logo or Hitachi (株式会社日立制作所, Kabushiki-gaisha Hitachi Seisakusho ) is a Japanese company based in Itchome Marunouchi, Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. Mainly known for its earthmoving machinery and electrical appliances, it makes other products. Hitachi Ltd. started in 1910. as they shop for electronic components that a Japanese company in the copper mining industry supported. The word Hitachi as Chinese character (Kanji) literally means sunrise, which symbolizes the philosophy of using technology to provide added value to man and society.

The Hitachi Group is one of the world’s largest companies with over 20,000 products and over 300,000 employees. One of the components of Hitachi Ltd.. Hitachi Construction Machinery Ltd.. (HCM). HCM is one of the world’s largest manufacturers in the field of earthmoving equipment as excavators, wheel loaders and dump trucks.

In Amsterdam there are factories and Oosterhout (NB) are factories and headquarters for Europe, Africa and the Middle East. In both locations, a factory where small and medium excavators are assembled / manufactured. The company has now also focused on building railway equipment.
